Taking online courses from Couresa to brush up on concepts/fill the gap?

Currently getting my Masters in Tax and I feel as if I have a lot of gaps in my knowledge in relating to individual/business. I wanted to supplement what I'm learing in school/work with these online classes:

Would anyone recommend/not recommend doing this? This is something I don't have to fully commit to and do it on my own time, the only thing I see is that it'll cost me $50, which is a okay tradeoff for some of my time.

Thoughts?

Coursera has a pretty good sequence of courses on US taxation. Not tailored toward CFP but will give you good overview of concepts and familiarity with basics. The first course in the sequence, which focuses on individuals and sole proprietors, is probably the most relevant.
