Would recommend not wasting university module time on skills that can be picked up more efficiently via MOOCs, try something like this instead

Youtube is fine to start but if you want something more structured, I've had my analyst take this before: https://www.coursera.org/specializations/excel

I was a Financial Analyst whom ended up in Sales Compensation, so I can tell you getting a good foundation will help take you places. Good luck!

I really liked this course

I learned a lot from it and they use examples related to administration, the examples felt concrete and relatable.

I have had good luck with Coursera courses. Here is a good specialization from beginner to advanced. I like starting with beginner because often they will show me shortcuts that I had forgotten or never learned.

Coursera has a excel for business specialization that is on my workplace’s recommended training list. It is free if you don’t want the certification I think. I haven’t taken the course myself though.

Yes, the data becomes very important when you are trying to make a case for a certain strategy or initiative. For B2C companies, you want to be able to show upper management that funding your approach to social media marketing actually results in more customers. For B2B companies, you are often wanting to make the case to other businesses that your consulting services are actually worth their investment. Being able to put hard numbers and dollar figures to your results is critical.

As for where to start, I do think searching around Coursera for what seems relevant to your needs is a good place. I took the Stanford SQL class there way, way, back to brush up on some things, and it was very good. I'm not super keen on the certifications themselves (companies just don't know how to evaluate them yet), so I usually audit courses on there for free. This specialization on Excel seems about right to get your mind in the right space for data work before moving into other possible directions:

I have done these two and found both of them incredibly helpful. Pretty good assignments as well.

I'd bet coursera has a lot of good stuff. How about this one? You don't even need excel, just use google spread sheet for free.

Here. Register now. It's free if you don't get certification, but you still have the skills.

(Ok, that's one example; there are others out there. Look around and shop for the ones best suited for your need.)

Learn Excel this summer. It will help you with the minicase, with some future classes (comm 215) and especially with your future career.

Don't fall for the "BTM200 is a joke" meme, but at the same time don't worry about it too much as it's not a hard class

The course linked below looks decent and is free if you subscribe to the courses within the specialization individually and choose to "audit the course"

Thanks to everyone who replied i really appreciate it.

-I can`t find apply for internship where i live (Egypt) so thats not an option im afraid.

-I don`t like math and dont know any coding language even if i spend the last year learning something like python will it be worth it?

-With that said would Business Analysis be a good carrier for me to peruse ? I have no idea about BA but i looked up courses like
https://www.coursera.org/specializations/business-analytics

https://www.coursera.org/specializations/data-analytics-business

https://www.coursera.org/specializations/excel
would these courses be sufficient to get me an entry level job after graduation or would i need more courses , honestly i would be happy with any carrier that doesnt involve maths or programming so im not sure whats the best option for me yet .
