In CV I would guess domain knowledge is great. For example I am in speech now and we didn't hire generic deep learning people but with speech processing background or e.g. linguistics, signal processing, NLP...
General software dev... perhaps get some AWS certificate and brush up on docker and Kubernetes. Seems having those is big at the moment. I am doing freelance projects right now dockerzing python projects even though I never did more than editing a few docker files.
