Please articulate your biggest concerns and criticisms on policy that negatively impacts black folks so we can get a plan on legislation that will help us

Hi,

I know I have a bad reputation here for having unorthodox views pertaining to the black community. But I promise you that I am black and proud. A few weeks ago I said I was in a bind on what I should do in my future, split between two different career paths. For the time being I have chosen to pursue my Master of Public Policy degree with a side education in African American Studies. The goal is to be a policy maker for think tanks. My main goal right now is to end the War on Drugs. Beyond that, I would like to know of any policy that negatively impacts black people that stops us from progressing.

I'm gathering a list of things so I can help build and develop them as I go through my studies (taking additional classes on polsci this summer to boost my gpa even more and will always be on the lookout for black issues). For example, I am taking this course on Coursera soon: https://www.coursera.org/learn/urban-education

So, if you could communicate with someone who makes policy, what would your main grievances be?
