Here's some suggestions;

There are also courses on Digital Signal Processing e.g. this one on Coursera, and RF communications, which would be quite relevant.

Todays engineering is mostly seperated into mechanical, electrical and software engineering. Do you fancy one in particular?

If you want to send a satellite into space and want to receive data I would break that down into two smaller problems. Namely "Launch to orbit" and "Communicate with satellite"

Luckily the first problem is already solved and can be bought here (unless you want to do it): https://spaceflight.com/schedule-pricing/

For the second problem I found a MOOC here: https://www.coursera.org/learn/satellite-communications

I recommend you look at your learning endavour as a project and take the time now to

  1. Brainstorm (handwritten mindmap or post-its) for specific vocabulary and
  2. Research the vocabulary and topics to dig deeper and find ressources so you can
  3. Write a Project Charter (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_charter)

Once you detailed your goals and non-goals you will see much clearer what will give you what you want.

If you have worked in a project driven environment already you know this better than me ;-)

If you already have your idea what to send to orbit set, I strongly advise to write up a business plan. [Maybe you will get enough funding to hire a satellite communications expert, while you oil (=communicate with stakeholders) the machinery.]

Anyway, good *uck!
