Just quick as I 'm really busy today sorry. There are many short courses:

https://www.coursera.org/search?query=electrical%20engineering&page=2&index=prod_all_products_term_optimization

Where should you focus? On the future.

For electrical engineering that means nanotechnology - here's a short course that might help - part of the 'Master of Science in Electrical Engineering degree at University of Colorado Boulder'

https://www.coursera.org/learn/nanophotonics-detectors

But there are many more nanotech courses online like here:

https://www.edx.org/learn/nanotechnology

Take those and put them on your CV, you will stand out and are far more likely to get interviews - I had an interview for a sys admin job once, 90% of the interview was us talking about the Linear Algebra Course by Gilbert Strang and an AI/ML course I did: https://ocw.mit.edu/courses/mathematics/18-06-linear-algebra-spring-2010/

Do that for the next 3 months(8 hours a day, 5 days a week - getting a job, is a job). If you don't have a job by then, you need to consider things like:

- a different starting job - can you get a job in another industry(I work as a SWE, but my colleagues have degrees in everything from nanotech to maths to X etc)

- Moving, if opportunities are slim where you are(as there were in my home town) - you need to think about moving, or again, changing your career.

I really hope this helps, happy to go back and forth and help you more, I do have a really busy weekend but I'll definitely get back to you when I can.

All the best.
