Introduction to Structured Query Language (SQL)

My first use of SQL was in a silly application for a software engineering class, we simply had tables for the customers and items etc and would manage the connections to the database, handle encryption/decryption, and insertions/deletions manually.

Learning a framework is less tedious of course but I think a small app that does something similar without frameworks would be a good introduction project.
