Start with your values. They will guide toward purposes, be it short, mid or long term.

Browse through this list, pick 1 to 5 core values: https://liveboldandbloom.com/05/values/list-of-values

They will be powerful guidelines, anchors, topics of conversations, even ammo for your career.

And when it comes to Purpose(s), I highly recommend doing this Mooc: https://www.coursera.org/learn/finding-purpose-and-meaning-in-life (requires self discipline, but the content should be taught in school, so important it is)

Misalkan "What matters most?", "Who relies on you?", "What causes do you care about?", "How do you want to be remembered" etc. Intinya coba kenali diri sendiri dan tanya ke diri kita sendiri value-value apa yg kita anut.

Ga mesti sekarang harus tau kok mesti ngapain. Hidup masih panjang. Kalo misalkan hari ini belom tau mau ngapain, bukan berarti 5 tahun lagi bakal sama. Atau kalo hari ini ada yg udah yakin mau ngapain, bukan berarti 5 tahun lagi mereka tetep berpegang sama tujuan awal mereka.

Cari-cari terus aja, coba terus hal-hal baru sesimpel apapun itu. Misalkan cobain tempat makan baru, pesen makanan yg belom pernah dicoba sebelumnya. Atau coba pelajarin hal baru.

Be nicer to yourself. Orang-orang di sekitar lo dan kebanyakan orang di sini juga bingung wkwkwk. Semangat bund

I'm gonna include a link and ask people to refer to that, instead of my number provided above, because if someone else enrolls I too may be branded a liar.

I don't think it's meaningless, if you think about mankind as a whole, then I would agree, the end of mankind should be something like "Big Rip" or whatever, and in the long run we'll all suffer and die.

But then again, personally, the meaning is subjective, it's what you do with your life that matters! you wanna play the piano well? it's your meaning! wanna make beautiful wood sculptures? it's your meaning! wanna help out those in need? it's your freaking MEANING!

You see, it's what we choose to focus on, we can orchestrate our life based on our interests and have our own particular experiences, life is good.

Also, if you haven't seen this before, I always recommend: https://www.coursera.org/learn/finding-purpose-and-meaning-in-life professor Victor Strecher is kind and humble, he provides some good insights on this topic.

You could try this:

https://www.coursera.org/learn/finding-purpose-and-meaning-in-life

It will teach some basic philosophy and mindfullness (There is an app, I didn't use it).

I like to read about philosophy to find out which concept I can agree and build myself up upon that. You can start anywhere, lots of video on youtube (stoics, panpsychim etc.).

You will find what you looking for.

The things is, there is no objective meaning to life. And no matter how older you get you are not gonna find any. So life means what you want it to mean, nothing more, nothing less. And it's you who has to decide why you're living. Do you value religion, humanity, environment, art, or even "bad" things such as fascism? It's you who has to decide. And what usually helps in that way is leaning, getting to know different things and experiences, especially now that you're young.

This course can also be great on this subject (it;s free to audit):
