Not my intention to insult you but you kinda shouldn't need someone to tell you what skill-areas you should invest in to improve your attractiveness for your current, and future roles. You should be able to answer that question for yourself.

It also takes a lot of practice. I took a class online on creative problem solving (U of MN) and I am pretty middling on creativity, really. https://www.coursera.org/learn/creative-problem-solving/home/welcome

Can't turn off my inner critic quite enough to think really divergently fast enough. Of course, not all creative ideas are good, but the brainstorming stage needs to be uninhibited.

You can find the guilds and groups on our Slack channel, and all you need to know about them, can be found in this wiki page -> https://www.reddit.com/r/KaizenBrotherhood/wiki/guilds

Kaizen Suggestions

Every month we will give three suggestions related to Kaizen, Improvement and General Badassery. We highly recommend you choose at least one and complete it this month!

  • Book to read: This month's suggested book is "The Slight Edge" by Jeff Olson. This book has helped many people gain an edge in life and get a perspective for their future. It's a short and interesting read, so don't miss it!

  • Application to check out: ClearFocus: Pomodoro Timer - This is the application that got me into the pomodoro technique. What I particularly like about it is the simple interface and the option to set custom intervals. Another great feature is the ability to name your tasks, this way you can see how much you worked and on which tasks!

  • What to learn: Creative problem solving - No matter what you do in life, you will always face problems and obstacles. This course teaches you methods to solve problems in creative and innovative ways. It's free and open for everyone, and you can learn at your own pace!
