What is your degree in, and what type of work have you done before? I don't think knowing children with learning disabilities would help if they're asking for related work experience unless you perhaps looked after them before. For whatever job experience you have, focus on the transferable skills of communication.
There's a ton of free online courses if you are able to put in the time. I just browsed Coursera's free section, and this one course about supporting children with dyslexia and another about the foundations of teaching stood out to me. The certifications for them aren't free, but all the materials are. I think demonstrating knowledge and eagerness to learn in the field is more important than the certification anyways.
