No one has pointed this out:

Coursera: Managing Big Data with MySQL

Not only does the instructor cover the basics but give you the type of thinking required of a data analyst. You also get to play with 2 databases: Teradata and MySQL.

You also learn how to make longer queries than most tutorials cover. The course has a greater level of difficulty than you will encounter, which is great!

I did this and it was fantastic. It has almost everything you need to know and very few things you don't, and you get to apply your knowledge to two real world databases.

I am auditing this at the moment. It's pretty good. You learn about making diagrams too.
